Relax, Breath & Improve Your Game
Research of the best players in the world proves they do not all have perfect golf swings, yet they all possess a few key elements that are simple for golfers of any age or ability level to implement into their game. These key elements make a huge difference in performance on the golf course and lower scores!

Download the Breath2Relax App. This is an excellent free app on your mobile phone, which allows you to work on calming your mind at anytime. It provides you with step-by-step learning on how to breath correctly to calm your mind and body. These are the tools a player needs to execute under pressure. I have provided instructions below to make it very simple for you to execute.

The easiest and most effective way to be athletic is by controlling your breathing pattern. By controlling your breathing, you are able to

  1. Release anxiety
  2. Increase awareness
  3. Be athletic

Yes, it’s that simple! Sadly, most people do not pay attention to their breathing techniques, which causes them to get anxious, tighten their grip pressure and create numerous swing flaws.

With use of the FocusBand, we are able to prove to golfers that being in the “athletic” state of mind increases their odds of hitting it more solid with a more consistent golf swing.

In the next step you will learn how to practice this and you can incorporate to your daily routine to improve your performance on the golf course. You will be surprised how relaxed it makes you feel and how more enjoyable the game becomes.

BEFORE SETTING UP THE APP, DO THIS!
STEP 1 JOURNAL IN YOUR NOTEBOOK
On a scale of 1-10 1. How stressed are you right now? Be descriptive, the more you can write out the more you will get out of this exercise

After you download the app, open the app and follow the steps below…
Step 2 When the app is open >click “set up”

Under “Cycle Settings” set “inhale length” to 5, set “exhale length” to 4. According to research studies by FocusBand, this is the optimal time of breath lengths to relax the mind and body.

Set “number of cycles” to 16

Step 3, Go back to home screen, click “show me how”, watch demonstration video

Lie down, flat on your back, with a book on your belly

Goal is to calm your mind, focus solely on breathing.

Step 4, click “breathe”

Perform 16 cycles with headphones in

Step 5, finish with journaling in your GPG notebook

  1. On a scale of 1-10 how stressed are you after completing the exercise?
  2. Did your mind start to wonder
  3. This is normal. With practice your mind will not wonder as much. If so, what did you do to bring your attention back to your breathing
  4. What could you do next time?
  5. Let your thoughts come in and out. Do not ponder or dwell on thoughts

ABOUT ONLINE PERFORMANCE LAB

During my life pursuit to become a world class player and coach, I was blessed to play and coach alongside the best minds in golf. PGA Tour winners, major champions, NCAA Championship players and coaches. While coaching with current Oklahoma State Coach Donnie Darr, I learned the importance of “owning your game”.  Anyone can achieve this when given accurate information fo what actually matters and consistent execution to the process.

I will give you the PROCESS, through practical practice plans, drills and exercises. With proper guidance and tools used by PGA Tour professionals, you will know exactly what to work on and when to do it. If a “washed up” teaching professional like myself qualified and competed on the biggest stage of golf, playing less than one round of golf per week, imagine what you could accomplish in your game!
